GENERAL FUNCTIONLeads financial planning and analysis activities, serving as the subject matter expert for areas of responsibility with a thorough understanding of the key cost drivers, assumptions, accounting processes and variances. Evaluates and provides insight to brand/shared partners to resolve issues and drive change. Improves the accuracy and efficiency of the planning process.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Overall responsibility for development of financial plans, forecasts and estimates
- Develops key assumptions for strategic plan consistent with overall brand strategies
- Oversees and delivers plans, forecasts and estimates for areas of responsibility, tracking key assumptions, contingencies, etc
- Financial partner for cost center owners and brands, challenging assumptions where necessary to achieve target/objectives
- Leads coordination of monthly close and results analysis
- Detailed review of actual results against plan/forecast/estimate
- Partners with accounting and cost center owners to obtain variance and timing explanations
- Oversees and prepares monthly variance commentary and provide support for brand MBR presentations
- Participates in or leads special projects
- Partners with brand/shared teams to support business endeavors
- Drives process improvement (accuracy, efficiency, etc) for areas of responsibility
- Develops tomorrow's leaders
- Assess developmental opportunities for direct reports, providing constructive feedback on a regular basis
- Provides stretch assignments designed to help grow skills and prepare direct reports for future roles
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Demonstrated ability to critically assess and improve processes
- Proven experience delivering efficiencies and managing change
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Exceptional analysis skills, curiosity to research issues and willingness to expand breadth of knowledge
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

- Previous experience in customer service and retail
