Skills/Qualifications

• Hold at least a doctoral degree in economic sciences
• Have a scientific record in the field of economics and finance, particularly in finance
• Have experience in teaching at the university level, including conducting classes in areas such as economics, finance, management, or other related fields
• Have professional or scientific experience related to economic, financial, or management issues
• An additional advantage would be experience in conducting diploma seminars and supervising the preparation of diploma theses
• Proficient in Polish (both spoken and written)

Documents must be submitted in person at the Rector's Office, room no. 115, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., or sent to the address: State Academy of Applied Sciences in Głogów, ul. Piotra Skargi 5, 67-200 Głogów. The envelope should be marked with the note "Competition for the position of assistant professor in the Institute of Social Sciences." The date the documents are received by the University is decisive. The deadline for submitting documents is August 31, 2026. The competition decision will be made by September 11, 2026. The committee reserves the right to conduct an interview with candidates who meet the required qualification criteria. Applications that do not meet the formal requirements or are submitted late will not be considered. The decision of the competition does not result in employment. The final decision on hiring is made by the Rector. Saarland University is seeking a researcher to conduct experimental work on matter-based and photonic quantum systems and their interfaces, with applications in quantum communication, computing, simulation, and metrology. The role includes teaching across all levels, course development, supervising students, and shaping Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Quantum Engineering.

Collaboration with QuTe and the Graduate School is expected.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will conduct experimental research on matter‑based and photonic quantum systems and their interfaces, focusing on applications in quantum communication, quantum computing, simulation, and quantum metrology/sensing. Possible platforms include atomic, atom‑like, molecular or hybrid quantum systems for controlled storage, transduction, transmission or processing of discrete units of quantum information in networks. The role involves close involvement with the Center for Quantum Technologies (QuTe) and participation in the Jülich‑Saarbrücken Graduate School ‘Quantum Information and Computation’. Responsibilities also encompass teaching across all academic levels, contributing to course development, supervising students, and shaping study programmes, particularly the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Quantum Engineering.

Applicants must hold a university degree in physics (or equivalent), a PhD evidencing high originality and significance, and demonstrate capacity for independent academic research, typically with an advanced post‑doctoral degree (Habilitation) or an equivalent publication volume or junior professorship. They should have an excellent record of high‑quality publications, proven experience in securing and managing external research funding, and be able to deliver innovative teaching concepts across all levels. Successful candidates must possess strong teamwork and communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken German.

Our client has 13 different outpatient clinics in Belgian Limburg. These outpatient clinics stand for qualitative, accessible and affordable (insured) care. They are modern and tastefully decorated and all have a clear and recognisable signature. Patients can come here for a large number of medical specialists, including dermatology. The medical specialists all work independently and are given the opportunity to use the waiting areas and consultation rooms. They pay a small percentage for this.

The dermatologists mainly work with classical dermatology, they use the government set (insured care) rates. Aesthetic dermatology is possible in consultation with the management of the outpatient clinics, but this will not be the core business.
