**About the Role**
We are seeking a visionary and influential technical leader to join as a Principal Engineer for Observability. In this role, you will be the chief architect and evangelist for our company-wide observability strategy. Your mission is to define and drive the adoption of a unified, full-stack observability framework that empowers our product teams to build and operate highly reliable, performant, and resilient services.

**What You'll Do**
+ **Create Strategy:** Create, document, and champion a unified, long-term observability strategy for the entire company, covering all telemetry types like metrics, traces, logs, profiles and more.
+ **Architect the Future:** Design a cohesive, full-stack observability solution using best-in-class tools and practices. Ensure our architecture promotes a product-oriented approach with a strong focus on self-service capabilities.
+ **Drive Standardization and Consolidation:** Actively identify and help decommission redundant or overlapping tools, driving the organization towards a standardized, cost-effective, and easy-to-manage observability service.
+ **Join forces with SRE team:** Partner with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, promote their principles, such as defining, measuring, and managing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets and how critical Observability for them.
+ **Evangelize and Educate:** Clearly and persuasively communicate complex observability topics, benefits, and strategic decisions to senior leadership and stakeholders across IT and business domains.
+ **Lead by Influence:** Act as the senior technical expert and thought leader in the observability space. Mentor engineers and guide teams in implementing best practices for instrumentation (OpenTelemetry), monitoring, and incident analysis using AIOps.
+ **Stay on the Cutting Edge:** Continuously research industry trends, emerging technologies (like eBPF, OpenTelemetry), and best practices to ensure our observability strategy remains modern and effective.
**Must-Have Skills & Experience**
+ **Education-** Bachelor's degree
+ **Extensive Technical Experience:** 10+ years in Observability, software engineering, SRE, or platform engineering, with a proven track record of architecting and implementing large-scale technical solutions.
+ **Deep Observability Expertise:** Subject matter expert on Observability practices and collection of all types of telemetry. SME for the tools that support them (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, BigPanda, xMatters or others).
+ **Strategic Leadership:** Demonstrable experience creating and executing a technical strategy across multiple teams or an entire organization.
+ **SRE and SLO Mastery:** Deep, practical knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, with hands-on experience defining, implementing, and managing SLOs and error budgets.
+ **OpenTelemetry Proficiency:** Strong understanding and practical experience with the OpenTelemetry standard for instrumentation and telemetry collection.
+ **Multi-Cloud Experience:** Experience designing solutions that operate across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
+ **Exceptional Communication & Influence:** World-class ability to explain highly complex technical concepts to senior executives and non-technical audiences. Proven ability to lead by influence and drive consensus in a large organization.

DSCS Digital Technologies is seeking an experienced Data Steward to drive the quality, consistency, usability, and business value of critical data assets across the Pharmaceutical CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls) landscape. This role serves as the bridge among business functions, data owners, process owners, and technology teams to ensure that data across the CMC enterprise is governed as a strategic asset, enabling our digital ambitions.

**Responsibilities**

+ Lead efforts to standardize critical data elements, metadata, taxonomies, master and reference data, and business terminology across the CMC digital landscape.
+ Translate complex business needs into data governance requirements and implementation roadmaps.
+ Develop stewardship frameworks that improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, integrity, and traceability.
+ Define data lineage and accountability models for critical business data.

**Required experience**

+ Experience operating in highly regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environments.

**The Senior Specialist, Specimen Management & Lab Start-Up is responsible for executing and independently managing key laboratory start-up and specimen management activities across clinical trials. This role ensures that study-specific laboratory requirements are effectively implemented and that biospecimen collection, processing, shipment, tracking, and reconciliation are conducted in a compliant, timely, and high-quality manner.**
**The Senior Specialist acts as a subject matter resource for study teams and supports cross-functional alignment with internal stakeholders, central and specialty laboratories, and logistics providers to ensure successful study activation and execution.**
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Study Start-Up Execution:**
+ Lead and execute laboratory start-up activities for assigned studies, including:
+ Reviewing protocols for specimen requirements and operational feasibility
+ Supporting or leading lab feasibility assessments
+ Coordinating central and specialty lab set-up
+ Contributing to or reviewing lab manuals and study documents
+ Supporting sample kit design, forecasting, and distribution
+ Ensuring requisition forms and workflows align with protocol requirements
+ Track and manage lab start-up timelines and deliverables for assigned studies.
+ Identify risks impacting study start-up and escalate or mitigate as appropriate.
**Specimen Management Operations:**

**Cross-Functional Collaboration:**

**Quality and Compliance:**
+ Ensure all specimen management activities comply with:
+ Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
+ IATA/DOT shipping regulations
+ Internal SOPs and quality standards
+ Support audit and inspection readiness activities.
+ Document deviations and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
**Documentation and Systems:**
+ Maintain accurate documentation related to:

**Mentorship / Leadership Contributions (Informal):**

The DSCS Digital Technologies organization is tasked with the mission to pioneer and deploy innovative digital technologies that drive the acquisition, automation and utilization of data to enhance insights, efficiency, and quality of DSCS processes and methods.
CMC Data Governance within DSCS Digital Technologies is seeking a Data Steward to implement our CMC data governance strategy. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in design and execution of best governance practices to ensure data quality, compliance, and value realization across cross-functional digital initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Own and maintain the quality, integrity, consistency, and governance of CMC data across systems.
+ Define, document, and ensure implementation of data standards, business rules, metadata, and controlled vocabularies for CMC processes and products.
+ Monitor data quality metrics, identify data issues, lead root-cause investigations, and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
+ Partner with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and IT teams to ensure data assets are appropriately governed for regulatory submissions and inspections, advanced analytics, machine learning, predictive modeling, and AI applications.
+ Drive master data management initiatives and support digital transformation, reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
**Required experience**
+ Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ Demonstrated experience with data governance, data quality management, master data management, and/or stewardship programs.
+ Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to translate business needs into data standards and governance practices.
**Preferred experience**
+ Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, LIMS, ELN, MES, Veeva, or similar platforms used in CMC operations.
+ 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments with exposure to CMC, manufacturing, quality, or regulatory data.
