We are looking for a motivated assistant to join our maintenance department who will work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the building(s), equipment, and utilities are maintained in good working order and the center grounds are properly maintained in accordance with resident's needs, government regulations, and company values while providing excellent customer service to associates, residents, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Perform minor repairs and day-to-day repairs, improvements, and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment, lawn, and grounds, as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Make sure equipment and work areas are kept clean, clear, safe, and free of obstruction.
Participate in disasters and fire drills, as needed.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Perform tasks that involve hanging bulletin boards, pictures, and necessary items used in the residents’ rooms, day rooms, common areas, and/or offices.
Report any incident and/or accident to the Maintenance Supervisor as soon as possible.
Previous maintenance experience preferred, but not required; as long as the level of experience is at a level necessary to perform the duties of this job.
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance, as required.
Must be able to work weekends and overtime as required.
Must be able to follow and/or provide strong communication skills effectively through written and oral delivery in a manner appropriate for a healthcare/office setting.

Handling logistics to make the event possible, such as making phone calls, advertising, managing inventory and budgets, training and motivating volunteers or employees, and coordinating transportation.
Observing participants at events to gauge their enjoyment and obtain their feedback to improve events.
Keeping records regarding event planning resources, participant interest, and other notable information, such as injuries or behavioral incidents.
Reporting medical concerns or observations.
Ensuring that events are well-provisioned, event staff is trained and prepared, and that the event takes place on time and within budget.
Providing participants with instructions for the event.
Adhering to and enforcing all safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma and certain certifications may be required.
More education or experience with nursing, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred. / C.N.A. license preferred

Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
