Your Key Responsibilities

The Accelerated Leadership Development Program is a two-year manufacturing leadership development program comprised of four six-month rotations that provide cross-departmental exposure. Each rotation can be located at any of our facilities throughout the North American Region (USA, Mexico and Canada), including the possibility for international rotations. The first rotation will start in Cheraw, SC. Upon graduation of the program, a permanent position in Cheraw, SC is guaranteed.

Manufacturing Leadership Path Responsibilities
  • Partner with a mentor who is an experienced professional engineering manager to develop best practices and evolve into a leader at Schaeffler
  • Gain knowledge alongside experts in areas such as production management, quality, continuous improvement, logistics, and plant management
  • Trained based on the 70:20:10 model which emphasizes a mixture of hands‑on experience, mentoring, and formal training
  • Leadership training and tools to develop leadership skills
  • Become equipped for your guaranteed Production Leader position upon graduation
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • At least two rotations of relevant co‑ops or internships
  • Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment preferred
  • Leadership experience or exposure preferred
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principals
  • Excellent Organization and Communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate every 6 months (company housing provided)
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.

  • Support the creation of market analyses and implement category strategies.

Your Qualifications

  • Responsible for staying up to date on market data/changes/trends to support controlling costs/benchmarking best in class terms.
  • Liason between Schaeffler engine and transmission for the America’s and the respective global team.
  • During Budget season – Monitor and validate the input from the GLB’s in the Budget Planning Tool. Look for outliers and flag said outliers. Research and define the risk. Reconcile any part where pricing variance percent if over global guidance. Inputs plan price to budget and obtains agreement with Global lead buyer. Update forecast using Global Planning Tool submittal upload each month. Ensures alignment and leads budgeting process for their respective category.
  • Leads purchasing portions of regional and Global Sourcing Board activities and presentations.
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship.
