Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Provide patient care that is presented from the initial medical history, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, therapy and evaluation of care. Display safe clinical decision-making and expert care, including symptomatic and assessment skills, for patients within the customary practice.

Responsibilities:
From initial history taking to clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment, provide care for the patient, provide an advanced level of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients.
Advice on international travel and vaccinations.
Maintain current knowledge of all professional nursing issues.
Maintain up-to-date, confidential medical records.
Provide leadership, education, and training to a variety of healthcare professionals and staff
Provided expert advice to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
Maintain the highest levels of primary health care nursing care.
Organize and take part in health promotion days.
From initial history taking to clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment, provide care for the patient, provide an advanced level of autonomous nursing practices to assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and refer patients.
Handle all aspects of telephone triage.
Provide vaccination information and implement programs both in the surgery and at other locations

Requirements:
Practitioners must have a Masters in Advanced Practice and a Nurse Practitioner qualification or equivalent experience.
Prescribing nurse qualification
Significant experience in primary care or the A&E/Minor Injuries Unit is preferable,
Home visits, triage by phone.
Must be flexible with their work hours.
