Procurement Officer

Analyzing suppliers, products and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-effective and of excellent quality.

Responsibilities:
Managing and monitoring personnel as well as the purchasing department’s duties.
Developing strategies for purchasing equipment, services and supplies.
Following and enforcing the procurement policies and processes of the company.
Purchasing products and services after reviewing, comparing, assessing and approving them.
Maintaining correct purchasing and pricing records while managing inventories.
Maintaining and updating information about suppliers, such as qualifications, delivery times and product ranges.
Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts.
Identifying and assessing potential suppliers.

Requirements:
GED/ high school diploma.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration or a related subject is preferred.
2+ years of procurement or similar experience is required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and bargaining skills.
Ability to think analytically and strategically.
Experience in supervisory and managerial positions.
