Retail Merchandiser

Ascertain that a company’s products are available in authorized stores and that stock is restocked as needed.

Securing the most profitable locations in each store and strategically placing merchandise to appeal to customers.
Keeping a regular inventory to guarantee that stores are always stocked with enough products.
Expiring, defective or otherwise undesirable merchandise is removed from the displays.
Tracking sales helps keep an eye on each core product’s success.
Suggestions for special deals and product reductions.
If necessary, advocate for the restocking of supplies.
Conducting one-on-one interviews, focus groups and survey research to determine product viability, product-related problems and market gaps.

A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
It is strongly recommended that you have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, or another relevant discipline.
Worked as a retail merchandiser, visual merchandiser or something similar in the past.
Computer literate.
Conduct market research.
Ability to build product displays that are both shoppable and entertaining.
Be familiar with relevant statistical processes.
