Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: BA degree in any discipline or 2 year degree/ 2 years office experience
Desired skills: Written/oral communication; time management; attention to detail
Clear communication, friendly disposition, mastery of time, support to unit Chief and at times, other staff when directed, and ability to think ahead to problem solve are all expectations for this role.
Duties/Responsibilities: Will help support work of unit Chief and unit Coordinator
- Duties will include working directly with Office of adult Literacy unit Chief and Unit Coordinator to email staff and grantees; set important meetings; help host in-person or online meetings by keeping time, taking notes, attendance and next steps.
- Emailing or calling on supervisor’s behalf. This person will be the utmost in professionalism.
- At times may help with
procurement needs for the staff in the unit and may be communicating
on behalf of unit Chief to other Dept. of Labor internal staff or
those outside of DOL.
