Full Job Description

Job Title: Sales Agronomist

Reports To: General Manager

I. Sales, Marketing and Customer Service

• Promotes the sales of all cooperative agronomy and related products, to farmer patrons on the basis of sales records, marketing surveys, scouting, advertising development and other promotional methods.
• Prepare, plan, execute and report a sales program to current and prospective accounts.
• Works to increase market share.
• Works with General Manager to develop sales goals and action plans.
• Monitors the competitions marketing and pricing strategies.
• Continually upgrades knowledge on agronomy products and services.
• Assistance in product ordering and bookings (seed, chemical, fertilizers)
• Assistance in product pricing
• Inventory management – running reports, bookings, pre-pay
• Logistics and dispatch planning – outgoing and incoming
• Soil sampling/field mapping
• Oversee precision ag needs (internal and external)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management, agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Available to work extended hours when needed.
• Ag background preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
