Full Job Description

Our London HR team is looking for a Benefits & Payroll Manager to join us for a 7 month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation & Benefits

  • Manage the relationship with UK and Frankfurt benefits brokers and vendors; Ensure that service levels are adhered to and where they are not escalate appropriately

  • Manage the annual renewal process for healthcare /PHI / Life Assurance benefits and collaborate with the Baird HR Technology team to ensure that Workday reflects the benefits offering

  • Review and update internal benefits communications to increase employee awareness and ease of access

  • Organise benefits education sessions (e.g. Pension, Healthcare programme) with various vendors

  • Collaborate with Baird Total Rewards to conduct salary benchmarking for clients in conjunction with the business ensuring that relevant comparator groups are used

  • Collaborate with the US HR Technology team and EU HR Officer to ensure that the full UK benefits package is reflected on Workday, in preparation for the transition to Workday Payroll

  • Manage the annual Global Investment Banking non-forgivable loan and bonus programme, issuing paperwork and collaborating with Finance to issue payments

  • Respond to any employee queries regarding compensation and benefits

Payroll

  • Manage / administer the monthly payroll and pension processes for London & Frankfurt in collaboration with 3rd party service providers (Cintra / Mazars)

  • Manage the UK End of Year process (P11Ds) for Robert W. Baird Group Limited in collaboration with Cintra

  • Assist Finance in reconciling monthly payroll figures and producing monthly reporting

Experience Required:

  • Able to evidence effective vendor management and solid understanding of total rewards

  • Able to evidence effective payroll management

Personal Skills:

  • Good fit with Baird culture / values

  • Well balanced in terms of energy; possessing a sense of urgency to work at pace, with enough patience to complete tasks with a high attention to detail

  • A methodical mind-set with strong attention to detail

  • Numerate

  • Strong analytical and problem solving mind-set

IT Skills

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Workday experience an advantage
