Full Job Description
Seeking experienced E&S P&C Underwriters, Producers
and Brokers who will be responsible for developing and maintaining a
profitable book of business, including development and execution of an
ongoing marketing plan to drive new and renewal business.
Responsibilities involve conducting accurate and thorough risk
selection through evaluation, classification, and rating to determine
acceptability, coverage, and pricing. Develop and submit underwriting
referrals as needed, and responsible for achieving key metrics such as
new business hit ratio and renewal retention, while monitoring
accounts to ensure compliance with policies and file documentation
standards and maintaining underwriting authority level standards.
Territory: Northern California, OR, WA, MT,
WY, CO, TX, AZ, UT
$125k +/- Base Salary based
on level of experience. Multiple bonus opportunities and potential
- Minimum 3-5 years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience.
- Proven wholesale insurance knowledge, with direct work experience in excess & surplus lines.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong sales and marketing skills, business acumen, and negotiation skills a must.
- Insurance license, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented and organized.
- High-level of motivation and ability to prioritize.
- Willingness to take on challenges and continued interest in professional development.
