Commercial Truck Inspector Overview:
Joining the OTR Leasing family means becoming an essential part of our procurement chain. As the Commercial Truck Inspector , you'll offer in-depth expertise and conduct detailed inspections of our semi-trucks. Collaborating closely with the Director of Procurement and the Operations Director, we're looking for an independent, mechanically gifted individual who builds robust relationships.

Commercial Truck Inspector Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct meticulous pre-purchase inspections of commercial trucks, evaluating their condition, performance, and safety.
- Scrutinize maintenance records and DOT reports.
- Identify and categorize varying classes of leaks and adeptly use diagnostic tools.
- Create in-depth inspection reports backed with notes, images, and videos.
- Apply analytical acumen to discern potential mechanical challenges.
- Lead cost-efficiency evaluations for truck acquisitions and repairs.
- Collaborate seamlessly with team members and establish a strong rapport with stakeholders.
The Ideal Commercial Truck Inspector Candidate:
- Boasts a minimum of 5 years as a heavy-duty diesel truck mechanic.
- Holds a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
- Demonstrates proficiency with Geotab telematics and a sound understanding of DOT regulations for heavy-duty trucks.
- Can comfortably navigate truck inspections, from climbing in and around to getting under the vehicle.
- Exhibits keen organizational skills, computer literacy, and stellar communication.
- Ready to travel frequently, occasionally with minimal notice.
Location: Atlanta, GA
Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per year; depending on experience.
