Multi-site Controller - Accounting & Finance, Manufacturing, Life
Sciences, Medical Device; Portage, WI & Poestenkill, NY

The Multi-Site Controller will
manage/oversee the adherence to financial policies and ICRF controls,
improving internal business processes to support the
growth/profitability model for our Life Sciences facilities in
Portage, WI and Poestenkill, NY.
Plays a key role as part of the
site/plant leadership teams while functioning as the Multi-Site Plant
Managers right-hand". Provides financial analyses and recommendations
to ensure the sites alignment with Saint-Gobain's strategic
objectives.
Leads the month-end close processes & ensures
alignment with HPS/LS deadlines. Leads the annual standard cost
development process for the sites to ensure transparency of
cost/margin.
Onsite management in Portage, WI with two direct
reports; with travel to Poestenkill, NY.
Key Areas of Focus:
Lead the annual RF1/3 forecast, budget, plan process at the sites
and providing accurate explanations of significant variances,
including analysis of actual vs. budget and/or forecast. Focus on
timely month-end results/reporting, with review of strategic
objectives, to ensure the business growth & profitability.
Process
oversight/management of month-end close (QAD, DSS inputs &
reconciliations to Blackline) to ensure alignment of the HPS/LS
deadlines, prepare, approve general entries/reconciliations (as
needed/required), and ensure accuracy/integrity of the balance sheet
(quality of working capital, changes in fixed assets, etc.).
Lead
the annual completion of the ICRF gap analysis & ensure the execution
of action plans, adherence - Segregation of Duties, system/access
controls are in place. Evaluate site internal controls (review of
HPS/LS policies, purchasing authorities, etc. to ensure alignment with
internal controls along with the 6 essentials). Assessing current
accounting processes, offering recommendations for improvement, and
implementing new innovative processes.
Support LS & Operations
Controller with the AD HOC requests, annual plan, budget & standard
cost development process. Proactively interact with supervisors, plant
leadership team as well as senior management to ensure all parties
have a clear and accurate picture of the plants overall financial
performance. Proactively researching issues anticipating opportunities
and providing answers & insight to key questions before they are
asked.
Support CI/WCM initiatives (participation in Kaizens,
problem-solving events) ensuring countermeasures, projects are defined
with clear financial objectives & results are tracked and reported
accordingly. Co-manage along with the project manager the capital
process & provide guidance/assistance preparing Madisons, CARsCreation
of forward-looking financial models and what-if modeling capabilities,
cost/benefit, margin impact (make vs. buy, etc.) enhancing the
decision-making process.
Coordinate physical inventory and cycle
count program to achieve site and SBU goals. Ensure the annual
physical & fixed asset counts are properly conducted and adhere to the
set policies/procedures for the site.
Education:
Bachelor's
Degree - Accounting or Finance; Required.
Master's Degree -
Accounting or Finance; Preferred.
Certified Public Accountant;
Preferred.
Experience:
3+ years experience within cost
accounting/finance within manufacturing environment; Required.
3+
years experience working with/supporting Corporate/Finance (ie.
performing/providing financial &/or operational analysis); Required.
Knowledge/Experience with Cost-Accounting, CAPEX, Production,
Purchasing, Labor & Transport Costs, Inventory, Project Budgets,
Manufacturing Forecasting, Planning & Analysis, S&OP, Quantitative
Analysis; Required.
Ability to understand all changes in
manufacturing, commercial strategy and provide insight & commentary
related to the financial impact; Required.
Upwards of 20% travel
for business, training, etc.; Required.

postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards

transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the
national pay range
for this position which is
$108,100 to $172,900
per year, however, the base pay
offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity,
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary,
this position is eligible for
an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is
15%
of
base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The
Total Target Cash range
(base pay and annual bonus)
for this position, is
$124,315 to $198,835 . Bonus payments
are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on
company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
