City: Burbank, CA

Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote: Onsite, 4 days a week

Duration: 6 months extendable

Rate Range: $ 103/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)

Work Authorization: GC, USC, All valid EADs except H1b

Description:

The DevOps/SRE Engineer will be a member of the Data Services team, which supports the enterprise customer data warehouse solution. This solution integrates data from across business units in support of Consumer Analytics and Marketing. Working closely and collaboratively across technical and non-technical stakeholders, the Engineer will be responsible for supporting various customer data and consumer marketing services initiatives, including data onboarding projects, data enhancement initiatives, data feeds to external business users as well as internal system enhancements and data integration projects. The Engineer will work with internal program managers, data engineers, analysts, and marketers as well as with external stakeholders to formulate a deep understanding of the department's customer data needs, opportunities, constraints, and challenges.

Job responsibilities:
•Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve automation of workflows, infrastructure, code testing and deployment.
•Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery.
•Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards and make recommendations for improvement.
•Design & Implement infrastructure Monitoring - System/Application alerts /Security controls/Cost.
•Design/implement solutions for automation of services (i.e., CI/CD)

Basic Qualifications:
•7+ years of progressive experience in definition and implementation of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions supporting ecommerce, direct-to-consumer marketing, or consumer data analytics teams. This experience will include the design and development of reliable, highly scalable, flexible, and high-performing data warehousing solutions.
•5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps / SRE.
•5+ years of experience working within AWS and with its managed products (EC2, ECS, ECR, R53, RDS, etc.).
•Admin experience with Snowflake.
•Experience with Terraform.
•Admin experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Developer.
•Experience with Version Control Software (GitLab or GitHub)
•Prior experience with Data dog or similar monitoring tools.
•Fluent in Python, and scripting languages (Shell scripting).
•Experience working with Airflow, and NIFI technologies - preferred.
•Informatica Professional Certification - preferred.

Must haves for soft skills:

1. Transparency- must have the skill set to ask questions and dig deeper when unsure of answers

2. Organized/Methodical- this job is very task oriented. Must be well organized and check work

3. Communication

Tech skills Must haves:

1. Terraform is a must

2 SQL- must

3. AWS must- working in AWS environment

4. Snowflake

5. Scripting- nice to have- Python is used

6. Airflow -nice to have not a must

7. Must have admin experience with Linux and Windows

Day to Day

  • Team manages infrastructure and DevProd about 5-10 servers. Once a week will be in charge of deployments from dev-prod- manual.
  • Will need to put into informatica, snowflake side on a manual basis. There will be a lot of migration and clean up of users.
  • You are working with GIS to comply with regulations.
  • Will work with security groups monitoring all alerts.
