Digital Accessibility Specialist

Full Job Description

What you will do in this role:

• Engage with users and researchers to understand their unique accessibility needs for our products, including defining and synthesizing user types, use cases and specific UX opportunities.
• Create and execute on processes for regular accessibility audits on the product suite.
• Verify compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, ADA, Section 508, and other laws related to accessibility.
• Collaborate with the broader team to define and deliver manual accessibility testing standards.
• Discuss defects and offer design and high-level code guidance and solutions.
• Act as the team expert on accessibility.
• Be the point person for accessibility questions and work to educate the wider team on delivering accessible products.

Skills

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• Demonstrate experience driving accessibility in digital, customer-facing programs
• Expertise in accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 AA, ADA, Section 508, and others as appropriate
• Strong experience with a broad range of accessibility platforms
• Web accessibility on Windows and macOS
• Mobile accessibility on Android and iOS
• Video and other digital media
• Broad experience with digital assistive technologies (i.e. JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)

Education:

Bachelor's degree or 5 years of related work experience.
