Pepper was founded in 1876 and is the world’s largest retailer of sheet music, with a particular focus on the K12 education market, offering over 1.2 million products on our website from over 1,000 suppliers. The company is headquartered in Exton, PA with large distribution facilities in Atlanta, GA, and Salt Lake City, UT.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Director of Business Intelligence to join our data analytics team and lead the development and implementation of data-driven solutions for our business. You will be responsible for managing a team of BI analysts, overseeing the design and maintenance of data warehouses and dashboards, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of data reports and insights. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to understand their data needs and provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis.

Manage a team of BI analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching

Design and develop data warehouses, ETL processes, and data models using best practices and industry standards

Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and other BI tools

Ensure the reliability, security, and accessibility of data and BI solutions

Perform data quality checks and data validation to ensure data accuracy and integrity

Analyze data and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support business decision making

Communicate complex data findings and solutions to various audiences in a clear and concise manner

Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in BI and data analytics

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field

At least 3 years of experience in BI, data analytics, or data engineering

At least 2 years of experience in managing a BI team or leading BI projects

Proficient in Tableau and other BI tools, such as Power BI, SSRS

Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehouse technologies, such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Big Query, Synapse

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and quality orientation
