ECOMMERCE CONTENT SPECIALIST

A successful Ecommerce Content Specialist is focused on maximizing the customer experience and driving revenue growth through a highly converting front-end content strategy. The Ecommerce Content Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site content, strategic content planning across channels and improvements to user experience. The ideal candidate for this role will be extremely detail oriented, have effective communication skills, be a natural problem solver. This candidate will develop a comprehensive digital content strategy to enhance The Paper Store’s digital footprint, while driving engagement and conversion. The Ecommerce Content Specialist will report into the Ecommerce Digital Site Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for enhancing and executing content strategy on the Ecommerce site to deliver a compelling consumer experience resulting in improved conversion rates, average order value, basket size, upsell and profitability.
  • Manage and oversee brand content to support campaign launches, product activation and creative content.
  • Manage homepage and landing page content strategy, conception and implementation partnering with Graphic Design team for digital content creation.
  • Influence content creation with analytics and competitive analysis to drive further brand advocacy and consumer engagement based on industry trends in the digital space.
  • Manages content development and strategic messaging based on a deep understanding of consumer insights, customer needs, market trends and competitive forces. Leads briefing process for digital needs.
  • Plan major campaigns across multiple channels that include promotional activity and seasonally relevant marketing messaging.
  • Partner with brand marketing teams to establish content calendar.
  • Work closely with site merchandiser to provide category optimization recommendations and request categories be made for content specific needs.
  • Use consumer insights and data to understand consumer personas; generate variations in content for multiple consumer segments and A/B testing.
  • Ensures content and merchandising strategy is aligned closely to stores and a key stakeholder in omnichannel strategy.
  • Provide KPI reporting to leadership and cross-functional teams with findings and recommendations.
  • Partner with Buying and Marketing departments to stay current on the product assortment and promotions as well as key focus areas for upcoming seasons.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance agility.
REQUIREMENTS :
  • College degree preferred in marketing, business, communications, or closely related subject or equivalent job experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Ecommerce/retail
  • An understanding of apparel retailing and the digital landscape.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact professionally in live customer service situations.
  • Ability to work independently of others, demonstrating resourcefulness, accountability, and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, ability to quickly learn how to navigate various software programs.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Ability to work onsite in corporate office.
