Embroidery Team Member - 1st Shift

Full Job Description

The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for operating 2, 6, or 18 head embroidery machines to accurately embroider logos and appliqués on garments and headwear. The Embroidery Machine Operator is responsible for quality while ensuring on-time delivery.nnWork Schedule: Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm with overtime as needednnEssential Duties and Responsibilities include:nnRemove garment or headwear from box and secure on embroidery hoop.nnPlace hooped headwear or garment on machine; position under needles.nnAdjust machine performance by adjusting settings, thread and bobbin tensions.nnMonitor machine operation to detect problems such as machine malfunctions, defective stitching, or breaks in thread.nnRemove hooped garment or headwear from machine.nnMaintain quality by inspecting finished product.nnEnsure operation of machine by completing preventive maintenance requirements.nnAdditional duties as assigned.nnEducation and Experience:nnHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.nnManufacturing experience.nnPrevious Embroidery Machine experience preferrednnSkills/Qualifications:nnAbility to follow verbal directions.nnAbility to read instructions in English.nnAbility to solve problems.nnAbility to work in a team environment.nnAbility to work in a fast paced environment.nnAbility to perform quality control.nnPhysical Demands:nnAbility to stand for extended periods of time.nnRepetitive use of hands, fingers and arms.nnAbility to demonstrate fine dexterity skills.nnAbility to move about the facility.nnAbility to climb, bend, reach, kneel and crouch.nnAbility to lift up to 25 pounds.nnAbility to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.nnVision Requirements:nnClose and distance vision.nnVision to be able to thread a needle.nnColor vision.nnLocation:nnNew Bedford Industrial Park - 270 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745nnBenefits:nnMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance after a 30 day waiting period.nn401 (k) – Participation and company match after 30 day waiting period.nnFree and other voluntary insurance plans at discounted rates.nnPaid Time OffnnPaid HolidaysnnEmployee membership & discounts.nnThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
