Seeking a Drone Flight Test Technician/Pilot/Operator located in the South San Francisco area for a company looking to make a difference in the world.As a Flight Test Technician/Pilot/Operator you will:Independently own all aspects of flight operations, looping in engineering support as needed to make quick progressTroubleshoot, maintain and upgrade electromechanical aircraft systemsValidate aircraft ahead of flight through a series of ground-based testsDevelop and maintain preflight checklists and other operational proceduresExecute flight tests across a variety of aircraftManage safety in a bustling test facility to mitigate risk from prototype flightsDocument your processes from inspections to flight testsSend out regular status updates to the team on challenges, failures and winsAlign with engineering on the best course of action to achieve flight test goals on timeLean into the chaos, request support as needed, and dynamically prioritize projects as flight conditions changeThis is a full-time contingent opportunity.Ideal candidate will have:FAA Part 107 Certification - this is a definite Plus!Strong aeronautical decision-making skills and familiarity with flight controller functionsExperience manually piloting quadcopter drones, professionally or independentlyExperience with electromechanical build and troubleshooting projects (including hobbyist drone or maker projects)Great communication, documentation and organization skillsExperience managing multiple competing projects with limited resourcesInitiative to tackle any challenge that comes your wayInterpersonal skills to leverage the strengths of a cross-disciplinary teamNice to have technical skillsHands-on experience working in a Linux command line environmentAbility to create rapid prototypes (3d printing, laser cutting, etc.) Pay Rate: $33.00-$45.00/per hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
