Position: Infectious Disease Control & Wound RN 

Location:  Lenbrook Square Foundation, Atlanta, GA

Job Responsibilities:  As the Infectious Disease Control RN, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our residents and associates. Your responsibilities will include: 

• Developing and implementing infection control protocols and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory guidelines. 
• Conducting surveillance and analysis of infectious disease trends within the community, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions. 
• Collaborating with the nursing team to ensure compliance with infection prevention measures, including hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and environmental cleaning. 
• Providing education and training to staff on infection control practices and procedures. 
• Leading investigations into outbreaks or clusters of infectious diseases, coordinating with appropriate agencies and stakeholders as necessary. 
• Monitoring and evaluating infection control practices through audits and quality improvement initiatives. 
• Utilizing your expertise in wound care to assess and manage residents with complex wounds, ensuring optimal outcomes and preventing infections. 

Qualifications: 

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure. 
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term healthcare facility, with a focus on infection control and prevention. 
• Certification in infection control (CIC) preferred. 
• Strong knowledge of infection control principles, practices, and regulations. 
• Experience in quality control and performance improvement initiatives. 
• Wound care certification (CWCA, WCC, or equivalent) highly desirable. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence others.

Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8A-4P – Full Time 

Pay Range:  $37.95 - $44/hr, based on experience
