Full Job Description

Introduction:

This position is Responsible for timely and efficient import and export of all international shipments. Ensuring full Customs import and export compliance for the company. This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, U.S. Customs issues associated with inbound and outbound freight, cargo transportation and delivery.


Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Create import/export documentation both within and outside of the scope of SAP
  • Process and ensure accuracy of customs documentation.
  • Assist freight forwarders and customs brokers with import and export issues associated with all shipments.
  • Track, trace and report shipments to ensure timely delivery to all the Customers and 3PL
  • Assist in handling and resolving freight claims related to import.
  • Review and Process ISF to ensure compliance requirements and submission.
  • Review thoroughly and print all import documentation to ensure full Import
  • Compliance, per U.S. Customs rules and regulations, inclusive of recordkeeping.
  • Maintain electronic records including daily import activity log (shipping manifest).
  • Import and Export Freight Costs Data, Import/Export tracking for US Customs and the Company’s accounting department, where needed.
  • Assist with ACH Monthly Duty Accruals and Payments to CBP.
  • Assist in process of Drawback claims as needed.
  • Work outside of normal hours of operation, as needed, in order to fulfill essential functions and responsibilities.
  • Maintain all files and paperwork relating to import/export matters.
  • All other duties as required or needed.


Profile/Experience & Technical Competences :

  • 5 + years Import and Export experience in a manufacturing or trading environment.
  • C-TPAT knowledge/training .
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
  • SAP preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs Rules and Regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed.


Pay Range:

$89,500 - $127,800 per year
