The Industrial Engineer develops improvements in a large, national multi-distribution center network. Do you enjoy . . . conducting forecasting and modeling to support strategic decision-making?nnACCOUNTABILITIESnnIDENTIFY PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENTSnnSupport designing new facilities, facility retrofits, conveyor changes and other material handling equipment changesnnRecommend process improvement opportunities by addressing all aspects of a process, including people, procedure, systems and equipmentnnAssist with transportation optimization initiativesnnMaintain and enhance Kohl's labor management program through monitoring of productivity and efficiencynnRefine labor management program best methods and procedures, time and motion study, coaching and general program maintenancennSUPPORT DISTRIBUTION CENTERS THROUGH PLANNING AND ANALYSISnnSupport strategic planning and analysis through forecasting, capacity modeling and network modelingnnProvide budget reports, negotiate pricing, monitor and report to LeadershipnnCOORDINATE PROJECT ACTIVITIES TO IMPLEMENT PRODUCTIVITY IMPROVEMENTSnnImplement improvements by coordinating the activities of vendors, internal resources and customersnnAdhere to budget, schedule, design and coordinate a wide variety of logistics improvement projectsnnOversee vendor performance (timing, schedule and budget)nnPROVIDE TECHNICAL TROUBLESHOOTING FOR DISTRIBUTION CENTER SYSTEMSnnProvide troubleshooting support for vendor systems and specific material handling equipment downtime for the operational needs of distribution centersnnSupport the engineering needs of a distribution center by being the subject matter expert for all material handling equipment within the facilitynnQUALIFICATIONSnnREQUIREDnnExperience with statistical analysis, work measurement and process analysisnnDemonstrated initiative and drivennProficient in Microsoft Office SuitennAbility to multitask across multiple projectsnnStrong critical thinking skillsnnPREFERREDnnBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain ManagementnnPrevious experience in distribution/manufacturing engineeringnnConfident decision making and leadership skillsnnAutoCAD experiencennPrevious experience with SQLnnAbility to relocatennSPECIAL REQUIREMENTSnnOn-call responsibility and flexible schedulennOccasional travel, including overnight to support peak business operations
