Instructional Design Consultant - Product Training for Sales Enablement - 100% Virtual

Full Job Description

We are working with our client in locating an Instructional Designer Consultant for a 6-month contract basis initially, with the potential for extension. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing product sales training, product manager training, and other learning initiatives. You will have the opportunity to dive into existing projects, provide support, as well as take ownership of new projects from kickoff to completion.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience in instructional design, particularly with blended learning approaches.
• Expertise in learning strategy, with the ability to make recommendations during the project intake process.
• Ability to engage effectively with SMEs and business stakeholders, understanding the importance of preparation and clear communication.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, project requirements, and stakeholder feedback.
• Learner-Centric Design: Dedication to creating learning experiences that prioritize the needs and preferences of the learner.
• Experience in drafting design plans, development plans, and project plans to guide the execution of learning initiatives.
• Proficiency in creating detailed storyboards and scripts for various learning modalities.
• Experience with a variety of authoring tools for creating diverse learning content, including infographics, Rise courses, videos, and multimedia.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop engaging and effective learning solutions using a learner-centric approach, free of technical jargon.
• Lead discussions with SMEs to gather information, seek clarifications, and request necessary support throughout the development process.
• Demonstrate transparency, honesty, and the ability to speak up when facing challenges or needing assistance.
• Become a pseudo SME by developing a deep understanding of our products and areas of focus.
• Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and SMEs to create comprehensive learning materials.
• Draft design plans, development plans, and project plans to guide the execution of learning initiatives.
• Create storyboards and scripts for various learning modalities, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and stakeholder requirements.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of learning materials.
• Utilize a variety of authoring tools to create diverse learning experiences, including infographics, Rise courses, videos, and multimedia content.

Start Date: Early April 2024
Duration: 6 months with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: 100% Virtual

The pay range is $55 to $60 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
