Intermediate Electrical Engineer | Commercial and Healthcare Facilities

Job Description:

Immediate need for an experienced intermediate-level Electrical Engineer with a proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals, particularly with commercial and health care facilities.

Responsibilities:

Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams and specifications.

Perform system design, load calculations, arc flash and fault current, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design.

Prepare electrical construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings.

Work closely with the client and other design team members, including owners, architects, and contractors.

Selection and specification of appropriate equipment.

Job Requirements:

3 to 5 years of professional experience in designing Electrical Systems for commercial and healthcare facilities with AE or MEP consulting firms.

Must have a strong and proven project list.

Strong AutoCAD capabilities; Revit desired.

Strong understanding of the NEC and the International Building Codes.

Ability to multi-task with multiple projects to meet strict deadlines.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.

Education:

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering
