Job Type: Part Time Available

Position: Lead Nanny Specialist

Hours: Typical hours that clients need care are Monday - Friday, between 6am- 6pm

Hourly Rate: $20.00 Per Hour


Safe at Home, a division of Kennedy Care, provides high quality child care services to employees of Ford Motor Company, University of Michigan, Michigan State University and the Detroit Lions, as well as in-home child care services for individual families.

Safe at Home Child Care is seeking a reliable, compassionate on-call child care provider in the Ann Arbor area with previous child care experience and a proven track record of providing excellent care. To accommodate our client’s professional careers, a child care provider with flexible scheduling options and multiple years’ experience with infant care is preferred.

Job Description

The Lead Child Care Provider will be expected to be fully available to cover last minute shifts and call offs within the hours of service. In addition to this, the ideal candidate would be available to serve as a temporary Nanny to families while the Safe at Home team works to find the family a permanent placement. They would be required to supervise, onboard and mentor Safe at Home caregiving staff virtually and in person.

With this position you can expect to receive 25 - 40 hours per week. In the event the Lead Child Care Provider does not work at least 25 hours per week they will be paid a minimum of $400

Responsibilities and Duties

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Engage with children in activities and play that stimulates their development
  • Appropriately supervise children and keep them safe at all times
  • Train and supervise current Safe At Home employees
  • Maintain a professional self image and project the values of the organization at all times
  • Be responsible for timesheets and documentation of eating, sleeping and diaper changing
  • Communicate with families
  • Complete assigned training and education as necessary
  • Ability to use electronic software for time Keeping

  • Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer (PPE) available for ongoing distribution to all caregivers
  • Reimbursement for flu shot

Requirements
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Reside within 30 miles from Ann Arbor
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Customer service experience
  • Autism experience (Preferred)
  • Possess an associate’s or higher in early childhood education, child development or a child related field (Preferred)
  • Covid-19 Vaccinated or willingness to get vaccinated
Salary Description
$20 Per Hour
