Long term contract opportunity for a Legacy Applications Engineer.

Client work authorization requirements: US Citizen or GC holder

Client seeking local to Minneapolis metro candidate: Onsite 5 days/week in the Minneapolis area

What you'll do : Join a team in supporting two internally developed legacy applications tailored for the internal engineers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting (Bash/Born shell scripts, Unix shell - CSH scripts), with a focus on backend development.

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for two internally developed legacy applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop and implement solutions to enhance the functionality and efficiency of the applications.
• Document processes, procedures, and system configurations for knowledge sharing and future reference.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting (Bash/Born shell scripts, Unix shell - CSH scripts).
• Experience with backend development
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in supporting legacy applications is preferred but not required.
