Qualifications

Description:

Performs basic research into state and federal laws, rules, regulations and/or guidance pertaining to department or agency programs, functions, and procedures; prepares clear, accurate, and informative reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Prepares, reviews, and oversees procurement related matters.
Administers contracts, amendments, and task orders.
Assembles data and assists attorneys in the preparation of material for use in legal memoranda, submissions, or other executive determinations.
Assists in the preparation of formal memoranda and/or correspondence to state and federal agencies involving points of interest and matters at issue; assists in preparation of formal correspondence in response to citizen, agency, or legislative inquiries and other similar matters.
Conducts proofreading of formal submissions.
Prepares technical correspondence.
Assist in assembly of data and the preparation of testimony for various department or agency officials regarding regulatory changes or enactment of new regulatory policies.
Assists in the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports required by local, state, and federal agencies.
Assists in the preparation of regulatory documents dealing with department matters.
Organizes and maintains information related to the function of the regulatory section in order to ensure ready accessibility to such information and retrieves such information upon request.
Under direction, assists in the preparation of grant applications.
Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.

Knowledge of the organization of New Jersey state government and of New Jersey law after a period of training.
Knowledge of department or agency functions and programs after a period of training.
