Job Title: Lifecycle Marketing Manager, Subscriber Acquisition, Scientific American
Location: New York - Hybrid Working Model
About the Role
As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing lifecycle marketing campaigns and initiatives tailored to converting leads into paying subscribers and for positively impacting key metrics such as ecommerce conversion rate and digital subscription revenue. You’ll have a combination of skills from planning and executing marketing plans at the acquisition stage of the customer journey, project management, consensus building and an ability to coordinate resources from a variety of supporting teams including technology, product, editorial and more. You will make actionable recommendations that impact our business and critical growth goals. Your expertise will help us advance our investment in technology to create better targeted, more personalized experiences for each and every user across multiple channels. This role is located in our New York City office on a hybrid working model.
Role Responsibilities:
Execute a communications strategy to foster a positive relationship with our users, increasing the ecommerce conversion rate
Automate lifecycle marketing journeys and one-off campaigns, with an emphasis on email marketing, across our marketing channels in order to acquire new subscribers
Build and maintain a deep understanding of customer behavior, preferences, and needs to inform marketing strategy
Create and manage segmentation and targeting strategies to optimize the customer journey
Develop and maintain a testing and experimentation framework to continuously improve campaign performance and customer experience
Partner with product, technology and data analytics to monitor campaigns through reports, metrics, and analysis of the marketing programs to achieve ROI goals and/or program effectiveness and success
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years of marketing experience
Proven project management experience
Demonstrated understanding of testing frameworks
Execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns
Knowledge of automation and reporting tools
Knowledge of the publishing industry
Experience working with subscription business models

US Annualized Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000. The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level and equity. The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
