We are hiring for Certified Medical Assistants to join our team in the Columbia, Maryland area. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm, one late day per week that willl be 10:30am - 7pm

Job Type: Contract to hire

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Pay: $18-22/hr

Available Location(s): Columbia, MD

Overview:

• Perform vital sign measurements and Point of Care (POC) testing for patients
• Conduct outreach to patients for scheduling appointments and follow-ups
• Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Document patient interactions and medical histories in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
• Experience in various medical specialties including Family Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN), Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, and HIV care
• Pre-visit planning including follow-up on referrals, reviewing consultation notes, and coordinating with other healthcare offices for patient health records
• Qualifications:

• School diploma in Medical Assisting - REQUIRED
• National Certification in Medical Assisting - REQUIRED
• 6+ month(s) RECENT experience
• EMR experience
