Full Job Description

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. ((url removed)) is looking for an Networking Hardware Architect for one of our premier clients in the San Jose, CA area. This is a direct hire opportunity, so you would be an employee at our client from day one. This role is hybrid. 3 days in office, 2 remote per week.

Job Responsibilities:
The Networking Architect will serve as the Lead in the design, implementation, and management of the Networking systems. Primary responsibilities will be to drive networking strategies and recommend industry best practices for networking solutions. Design and deploy effective networking solutions, research new and emerging technologies.

Lead and participate in ideation and concept design; creating new and reusable architectures for current and new product categories

Provide strategic direction for the planning, design, and architecture of high-quality, complex systems

Work with different constituencies include product group technology leads, Product Managers, Marketing, Sales/SEs to define technology roadmap

Understand industry trends and in partnership with senior leadership assist in developing the strategic direction for technology initiatives.

Work deeply with the product teams (engineers and PMs) to drive this technology roadmap into products.

Enable others through sharing knowledge and mentoring

Evaluate products, parts, or processes for cost efficiency and reliability, and ensure project completion.

Review and analyze new technologies and summarize results for presentation to technical and non-technical audiences

Be the champion for innovation across teams and locations, leverage the Technologist community to drive innovation initiatives.

Be a mentor and help drive mentoring programs for grooming our next wave of technology leaders and innovators.

Engage with strategic customers to represent our products at a deep technical level, and also understand where they are going and bring back to product teams

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

12+ years experience.

Proficient in all network architectures including datacenter, telecommunication, enterprise and service provider. A strong understanding of networking components and protocols.

Experience lntelYAMD processor, hard disk, SSD, SAS/SATA, PCIE, CXL, Ax86

Good interpersonal skills, well organized, self-motivated person, strong customer service, project, and analytical skills.

Experience in early product concepts and architecture development through prototyping, evaluation of new designs and system architecture and debug

Solid understanding of security elements

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to create and analyze architectural and product specifications with strong project development, program management, and organization skills.

Physical Demands

Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering / Computer Science
