Job Description

The QC Lab Data Specialist position will perform a relevant role by following standardized procedures, safety guidelines, and instructions to perform data workflow tasks in our Quality Control Lab. The QC Lab Data Specialist prioritizes samples submitted by our Manufacturing and R&D Teams for testing, orders additional testing as needed enters analyzer result data into spreadsheets and other data systems, and communicates the status of samples moving through the QC workflow. A high level of organizational skills and attention to detail are desired. May perform a variety of supporting tasks. A limited degree of creativity, adaptability, flexibility, and agreement is required.

Key Responsibilities

Data entry of QC results into vital systems.

Follows all safety guidelines presented by the department and safety officer.

Work with teams from QC, Manufacturing, and R&D to ensure effective communication of results.

Focus on customer service and teamwork among LGC QC, LabOps and R&D team members.

Work with QC to plan daily testing and ensure samples are moving through workflows in a timely fashion.

Able to evaluate processes and workflow for inefficiencies and suggest improvements.

Excellent attention to detail is essential to succeed in this role.

Requires prolonged sitting and working at a computer monitor. Repetitive motion using a keyboard for long periods. May occasionally be required to lift and move material weighing up to 10 lbs.

Agreeable work environment is typical of an open office setting with some exposure to noise from office machines.

Will require occasionally working in a clinical laboratory area with closed bottles containing biomedical materials when transporting, prioritizing samples
