Qurate Retail Group is the largest player in video commerce ("vCommerce"), which includes video-driven shopping across linear TV, ecommerce sites, digital streaming and social platforms.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an intern for our Merchandise Planning department. You will learn the Merchandise Planning functions through the guidance of the Merchandise Planner and team. Partner with mentor and Planning staff to plan for short/long-term maximization of sales that will be successful in electronic retail, and which will exceed the expectations of the customer.

Merchandise Planning is a team that works with many teams including buying, eCommerce, and Supply Chain, to increase sales on all sales platforms. We look to help identify trends and come up with creative ideas and strategies to not only promote the business but also to engage the customers.

QVC is providing a full-time, paid summer internship that runs from 5/20/2024 to 8/09/2024. With a weekly commitment working a hybrid schedule Monday through Friday.

Your Impact

• Analyze sales trends and be aware of inventory levels to maximize sales. Perform responsibilities according to company procedures with latitude for personal judgment.

• You will learn how to evaluate shows and show segments, time of day, and scheduled host to maximize sales performance and dollars generated per minute.

• Help prepare inventory and sales reports and in-depth analysis of major events for management review.

• You will help create show recaps and special reports for the Planners.

• Learn how to analyze the product life cycle by tracking sales history, pricing, decisions, and retail trends.

• Perform other responsibilities and projects, research and organize data, such as inventory levels, or a specific product group.

What You Bring

• You must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student enrolled in an accredited college, university, or master's program.

• QVC will consider students who have completed at least four semesters of college in the following majors: Business Administration, Business Management, Operations, International Business, Marketing, Communications, and Merchandising.

Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.
