Registered Nurse - Clinical Leadership and Direct Patient Care

Full Job Description

Position Summary:

• Provide direct nursing care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups
• Act as a clinical leader for other staff and serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with policies and procedures
• Implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age-specific considerations

Duties:

• Administer medications and test procedures according to established policies and procedures
• Deliver safe direct care to assigned patient groups
• Assist with emergency measures when required
• Answer telephones and triage calls per department policy
• Participate in orientation and precept new personnel upon successful completion of preceptor training

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
• RN licensure in state of work or as allowed by reciprocal agreement
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• CPR certification required
• 2 years of directly related experience required
• Nationally certified in an area of specialty and PALS or TNCC/ENPC preferred
• Bilingual in English and/or Native American language a plus
• Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work
• Working conditions may involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and biohazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment
