Job Description
Identifies talent both internally and externally. Interviews and participates in hiring and onboarding new Team Members, with the intention of finding future leaders. Ensures a deep bench of talent for current and future growth
Trains and develops restaurant Team Members (especially Grillmasters, Certified Trainers and Shift Supervisors) through one-on-one discussions and shoulder-to-shoulder education so they excel in their current role and are prepared for future career opportunities
Assists other Manager in performing administrative duties including payroll, inventory, food ordering, proper cash handling, etc.
Motivates, inspires, and constantly challenges the team to achieve at their highest level
Recognizes and rewards excellent performance. Participates in performance discussions with low performers and, along with other Managers, coaches and documents low performers
Understands that everyone’s success is elevated by the success of those around them and creates a culture where people act accordingly
Remains highly visible on a daily basis, supporting and delegating to all hourly Team Members
Promotes excellent guest service and handles guest concerns in a prompt and professional manner
Maintains restaurant cleanliness in accordance with company standards. Assures sanitation standards are maintained in accordance with OSHA regulations and local health and safety codes
Ensures restaurant equipment is properly maintained and safely operated
Ensures that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to, and that Team Members are trained in appropriate responses to unsafe situations
Ensures catering orders are executed to perfection and
Assists with marketing and promotional programs to build restaurant sales
Understands budgets and cost controls with regard to food, beverage and labor goals. Assists other Managers in adhering to budgets and maintaining controllable costs
Effectively communicates changes to restaurant team including changes to menu, policy, and Team Member benefits
Writes timely schedules that meet the financial needs of the business while ensuring an excellent guest experience
Qualifications
Our Ideal Candidate. . .
- College degree preferred
- 3 Years experience in the restaurant business with at least 1 year as a manager
- Brand Ambassador and Culture Champion!
- Demonstrated ability to achieve expected store financial results in areas of responsibility
- Ability to enthusiastically interact with others
- Adaptability, flexibility, general enthusiasm for the business
- Excellent pace and energy, self-motivated
- Strong communication skills; ability to write and verbally communicate in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to establish working relationships with all employees, management and vendors
- Ability to maintain and project professionalism, internally and externally, at all times
- Can create and communicate a vision for the store
- Exercises good judgment in decision making
- Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
- Excellent teaching and coaching skills
