Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare Weekly GPW production report.
  • Aid in review of quarterly P&L submissions from Int'l offices
  • Maintain quarterly P&L data in corporate warehouse (Olation)
  • Data Analytics
    • Analyze volume data to identify unusual ratios and relationships.
    • Develop variance analysis models and tools in support of financial reporting.
  • Review Management reports (Qrtly P&L estimates & actuals) from Int'l operations and provide feedback and analysis where appropriate.
  • Accounting Services
    • Perform accounting services and maintain G/L for Puerto Rico service company including all related internal reporting requirements.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with an Accounting specialization.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in finance.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the insurance industry.
  • High level of proficiency:
    • Microsoft office - Microsoft Excel critical.
    • Organization skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to accuracy and detail.


For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets: experience and training: licensure and certifications: and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,000-$105,000
