WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Provide advanced/specialized administrative assistance to multiple attorneys in a corporate legal department.  Duties are broad in nature and require the incumbent to exercise independent judgment related to assignments. These duties include oversight of the legal team’s billing process which includes reviewing for accuracy and responding to inquiries internally and externally.

 

This position will be on-site one day per week.  

 

Additional duties include:

  • Performs administrative and project-related duties to include calendaring, scheduling appointments, meetings, travel arrangements, conference calls and other events as needed.  Prioritizes and update tasks, projects and activities.
  • Conducts independent research, evaluates facts and prepares special reports under minimal guidance.
  • Uses a variety software programs and office equipment to perform assignments as well as provides
    analytical or technical support.
  • Prepares complex documents and presentations determining and implementing the type of information, formatting, layout and stylistics.
  • Works with budget and expense reports, generates communications, and processes documents.
  • Maintains files and records, including confidential files and records, for area of responsibility as needed.

 

WHAT IT TAKES:

  • High School Diploma/GED and three years administrative experience.
  • Strong knowledge of office practices and procedures.
  • Proficient in the operation of standard office equipment such as copier, fax, computer, etc.
  • Proficient in standard software packages (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and multiple attorneys that the position supports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management, as well as external parties.
  • Ability to be resourceful in difficult situations.
