Job Description

What you’ll do:

  • As a Sr. Analyst of Business Development, you will have the responsibility of growing GMV sales for Walmart's e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Your main tasks will include driving marketplace adoption among top sellers and maximizing their sales in those markets.
  • Seller acquisition is a top priority, your role is to support New Seller Business Development to ensure we continue to pursue data driven decisions, track progress, and implement improvements to exceed planned targets.
  • Collaborating closely with external partners, you will create lead flows and manage your own pipeline of prospective sellers.
  • To ensure seller performance, you will foster collaboration with international markets and cross-functional teams.
  • Your role will be crucial in executing Walmart's cross-border trade e-commerce strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Build a Sales Pipeline – Lead management and proactive prospecting are utilized to strategically target Walmart supplier organizations through cold calling, emailing, and implementing social strategies. The objective is to drive sales growth and enhance the pipeline by arranging qualified meetings for the Business Development and Account Management team. Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts to book sales appointments and influence company revenue.

Sales Presentations - Researches the client base for a better understanding of customer/seller wants and needs. Assists in delivering sales proposals effectively to attract customers/sellers. Reviews proposals and presentations for ethical, technical, and legal accuracy. Assesses customer/seller feedback and prepares responses.

Drive New Partner Success – Oversee the onboarding process for new sellers and develop initial targets and actions plans that accelerate item setup and improve offer quality and discoverability.

Advocate For the Platform – Champion and evangelize our platform, and its evolving capabilities, to prospective sellers. Drive awareness and adoption of new seller services.

Be Seller Obsessed – Listen to seller feedback, challenges, and needs. Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, site operations, partner support, etc.) to continuously improve the platform and experience.

Think Creatively – Explore and innovate! Develop and test new partnerships or services that create shared value for sellers, customers, and Walmart.

  • You have previous experience selling eCommerce Marketplaces or SaaS solutions.
  • You have experience in cross border or international ecommerce.
  • Able to understand a complex data set, pinpoint findings, provide suggestions, and explain it in simple, but concise manner to a broader group. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and 2+ years’ experience Supply Chain, Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area, or a related area

OR

  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Omni-Channel Merchandising, or a related area.
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales, or business development.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written service and communication skills  
  • Detail and results-oriented with sense of urgency
  • Effectively presents information to small or large groups and individuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales experience
