ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure & Engineering manager for our crypto mining data centers . We currently operate 4 data centers across the US and our portfolio is growing quickly. We own and operate our crypto mining data centers , in some cases including the high-voltage infrastructure. You will be responsible for our electrical, mechanical and civil infrastructure and will work closely with our construction and operations teams to manage our existing portfolio and lead the engineering efforts for our new builds. You will also be involved in site selection both greenfield and acquisitions and the respective evaluation of these locations and existing infrastructure for the purpose of building new mining data centers .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the correct operation of all existing electrical infrastructure including substations, transformers, switchgear , etc.
Responsible for the cooling infrastructure & technology including air-cooled facilities and direct-to-chip liquid cooling facilities
Lead and manage external engineering teams during the construction & build of new mining data centers
Evaluate and assess datacenter engineering drawings, focusing on electrical, mechanical and cival engineering
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as our site operations teams , construction manager and external partners to align infrastructure development with organizational objectives
I nnovate and improve our cooling and electrical systems for enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
EXPERIENCE
Extensive experience in data center infrastructure management
Experience with site selection , infrastructure selection , planning and pre- engineering
Experience with data center tools such as DCIM, and Power Monitoring
Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment including PDUs, switchgear, and DC Power Systems
P rior experience in the crypto mining industry is highly desirable
Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering , Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 - 9 years of experience in data center infrastructure management, with a focus on cooling technologies and electrical systems
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Home location: Eastern time zone states is strongly preferred.
Work environment: Fully remot e , with travel to sites when
Travel: 20 - 4 0 % .
