The SVP, Account Executives is a core contributor to MX's overall success and will be responsible for strategic leadership of growth, key initiatives, and critical relationships. The goal of this position is to grow the revenue and connectivity of MX, while building a team of strong client and growth leaders. This position is also a critical part of our cross functional management team - collaborating with operations, product, engineering and other segment leads to drive the strategic direction of both MX and our client relationships, and drive the mission of MX to empower all to become financially strong.

Job Duties

  • Grow and develop a team of strong Account Executives that work together to drive new business and growth.

  • Engages at a senior level in the financial services industry with consultants, executives, regulators and partners, staying current on industry trends. 

  • Ownership of forecasting, identifying risks early, and accountability for results.

  • Identify opportunities for growth through expansion of existing clients and add new customers in the financial industry.

  • Engages with MX executives including product and engineering leadership to ensure best-in-class products and services for our financial institution clients and prospects.

  • Forecasts annual contract value, assists with contract negotiation, and a point of escalation for Account Executives.

  • Effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure parties are aligned on strategy, aware of current status, and escalation management, including marketing, product, engineering, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive approach to sales.

  • Lead strategic business reviews with clients in a professional way that instills confidence and drives progress.

  • Become an expert of MX solutions and overall industry knowledge, including open finance, financial services, and banking technology.

  • Collaborate with other departments

  • Travel and conference attendance will be expected.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years experience with strategic partnership, sales/business development or customer management in the financial industry.

  • Experience in building and and growing high performing teams, including Account Executives.

  • Experience in financial services and fintech industries is essential.

  • Proficiency in planning, managing and executing high-level executive meetings and conversations.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong analysis, clear and direct communication.

  • Strong relationship-building skills that inspire trust and credibility with all levels of individuals, and properly manages conflict.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or applicable experience.

Work Environment

At MX, we utilize a hybrid work model, which allows us to attract top talent, provide work-life balance, and increase productivity through collaboration. Our team members enjoy a balance of remote work and monthly in-person collaboration meetings. Travel expectations are about 15%, and the company covers travel expenses for remote employees. Local employees are encouraged to utilize in-office time on a weekly basis. Compensation

The expected on-target earnings (OTE), which is comprised of a base salary and other forms of cash compensation, such as bonus or commissions is currently $200,000 to $500,000. This pay range is just one component of MX's total rewards package. MX takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location, skillset, peer compensation.
