Full Job Description

As a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing our cybersecurity initiatives.

Primary responsibility will be to collaborate with various business units, serving as a trusted advisor to mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively. By employing a risk-based approach, you'll identify, enhance, and maintain cybersecurity controls while promoting awareness and education across the organization.

Data Analysis: Utilize your expertise to analyze network flows, system logs, and metadata, identifying patterns, anomalies, and potential threats. Your insights will be instrumental in trend analysis, alert correlation, and enhancing our overall security posture.

Automation: Leverage your programming and scripting skills to automate data parsing, reporting, and repetitive tasks. Your efforts will streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency within the cybersecurity framework.

Defense Strategy: Interpret and leverage IDS/IPS or SEIM offense signatures as part of our layered defense strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain robust security measures throughout our environment.

Incident Response: Contribute to the Security Incident Response Team by refining processes, procedures, and training modules. Your involvement in creating playbooks, conducting tabletop exercises, and participating in investigations will strengthen our incident response capabilities.

Skills and Expertise:

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Communications, or equivalent.

Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity.

Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including executives.

Experience in identifying and mitigating intruder techniques, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.

Proficiency in InfoSec systems such as SEIM, SOAR, IDS/IPS, Phishing Toolkits, and Sandbox Analysis Tools.
