ChristianaCare is recruiting for a per diem Speech Language Pathologist to work a minimum of two weekend days per month. May pick up additional weekday or weekend shifts as available.
In this position, you will assess and treat adults with communication and swallowing disorders in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. With an emphasis on patient-family centered care, we specialize in a variety of services with a dynamic interdisciplinary/trans-disciplinary team approach.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment programs to include family specific goals and time frames
- Provide patient and family education and training
Education and experience requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware

A Brief OverviewThe Pediatric Hospital Medicine attending physician will work in a variety of settings including general pediatric services, surgical co‑management team, complex care, and/or sedation services. The physician is expected to document the medical findings in an electronic medical record, provide support to patients, families, and colleagues, collaborate with other physicians, nursing, ancillary department staff and hospital administration. This position will require working evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. The physicians are expected to maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, legal, regulatory, clinical, and organizational standards and requirements including (but not limited to): HIPAA, OSHA, Joint Commission, DOH. The physician may represent CHOP with external organizations and professional associations upon request.
What you will do- Direct clinical activities.

- May supervise clinical providers including resident physicians and provide performance feedback in all aspects of clinical functions.

- Doctorate in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
- Working knowledge of hospital policies, practices and protocols as well as applicable regulations and guidelines.

ChristianaCare, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare, is actively recruiting clinician educators and clinicians who are BE/BC in Rheumatology to join our established team and our new ACGME approved Rheumatology Fellowship Program.
This provider will have the opportunity to practice rheumatology at our ChristianaCare Delaware campuses in Newark and Wilmington, DE, and the ChristianaCare Union Hospital in Elkton, MD.
Position Highlights / Responsibilities- Become part of a large, financially‑sound health system and employed medical group.
- New ACGME approved Rheumatology Fellowship Program starting 7/1/26 with 2 fellows per year.
- Opportunity includes broad array of duties with significant time for remote appointments and teaching residents and medical students.
- Join established practice treating regional complex cases.
- Manageable patient volume: 12‑14 per day. New patient appointments 45 minutes and 30 minute follow‑up appointments.
- Have access to new equipment such as musculoskeletal ultrasound at both locations.
- Obtain core faculty designation and faculty appointment to Thomas Jefferson University.
- Hospital call every 4‑5 weeks.
