- Explain and prepare the patient for all radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures
- Interview patients and review available clinical data from charts to alert nurses and or physicians to possible contradictions for procedure
- Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and effects of disease processes to properly and safely position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.
- Maintains radiographic equipment and x-ray room in proper working condition. Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisory personnel.
- Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting order for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies.
- Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance
