Ford managers in the UK are preparing to strike later this month over pay, according to Unite, the labor union representing them.
Union members at sites including Dunton, Stratford, Dagenham, Daventry, and Halewood will begin working to rule and enforce an overtime ban on Friday, June 14.
Sharon Graham, Unite’s General Secretary, said: “Despite making billions in profits, Ford has decided to attack our members’ pay.
“Performance-related payments offer no guaranteed pay rise and risk wage cuts.
“Our members are right to take action, and Unite fully supports them in doing so.”
Ford said: “We regret that it has resulted in this outcome considering the fair and balanced offer made and the competitiveness of our LL6 pay and benefits package.
“We will continue to engage with Unite and our employees and endeavor to resolve the matter.”
