Apple is said to be leading the race to buy video game giant EA - maker of the famous FIFA franchise.
Disney and Amazon are also in the running to merge with the company, with Apple rumored to be in negotiations.
EA Games is said to prefer a merger over a full takeover in order to keep its present CEO, Andrew Wilson, in the same position.

So far, EA has declined to comment, with EA spokesman John Reseburg noting that the business would not comment on "rumors and conjecture linked to M&A."
He said: “We are proud to be operating from a position of strength and growth, with a portfolio of amazing games, built around powerful IP, made by incredibly talented teams, and a network of more than half a billion players. We see a very bright future ahead.”
EA Games would be a logical fit for Apple, considering the firm has its roots there.
Trip Hawkins, a former Apple Director of Strategy and Marketing, left the company in 1982 to establish EA Games.
