John Lewis Partnership to hire over 10,000 staff for Christmas

John Lewis Partnership is launching a recruitment drive, with plans to hire more than 10,000 employees ahead of the Christman shopping season.

The roles will primarily be temporary and seasonal positions.

JLP aims to fill over 2,900 temporary roles, focusing on sales and merchandising, across its 34 John Lewis stores.

The retailer will recruit over 2,800 seasonal employees in its Waitrose stores for 329 locations.

It’ll cover positions like supermarket assistants, night shift workers, and customer delivery drivers.

The company collaborates with recruitment agencies to employ 2,700 staff, including warehouse workers and drivers.

It’s to bolster its supply chain and facilitate online deliveries and click-and-collect orders.

JLP also plans to hire 1,700 more employees across both Waitrose and John Lewis over the next few months.
