ResponsibilitiesJob Duties/Responsibilities:
The successful Chief Executive Officer candidate will:
- Be instrumental in developing a culture that emphasizes high quality care and patient safety.
- Manages day‑to‑day operations and staff so that the facility achieves its objectives in all of the following key performance areas:
- effective patient care outcomes

- Ensure participation of staff in facility/program wide in‑service and continuing education programs, including those specific to the treatment of adults, seniors, adolescents, and families.
- Recruit allied health professionals and psychiatrists to increase the scope of service offerings at the facility.
- Effectively work with corporate contracting team to manage and direct contract negotiations and contract compliance with the commercial payer community to include rate negotiations and services provided. Oversee contract relationships to include regular reporting on contract performance as well as new revenue generation and growth.
- Leads development of continuum of care to include comprehensive outpatient services and community‑based programs.
- Serves as the final authority for resolution of staff performance concerns and performance improvement activities as appropriate.
- Routinely attends and as appropriate, chairs periodic meetings with the governing body, medical staff, executive management team, and other departments of the facility.
- Abides by all company policies and procedures and operates with the highest personal integrity and professionalism.
- Remains current in all national healthcare‑based initiatives through participation in such organizations as NAPHS and the relevant state‑based facility association.
- Ensure an effective survey readiness plan is always active including a comprehensive auditing plan, corrective actions taken to address noncompliant areas, and preventative actions to maintain continuous accreditation and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to the Corporate Compliance program including timely follow‑up with reported compliance issues, staff training, and proactive auditing.
- Confirm and lead accurate Governing Board reporting and quarterly calls.
- Guarantee prompt, thorough follow‑up of any patient safety issues including system‑issue corrections and proactive assessment of high‑risk areas.
- Ensure appropriate support for QAPI activities including direct and leadership staff resources, training, and other requirements.
- Consistently demonstrate a high level of leadership skills resulting in efficient planning, development and implementation. Assist in the development of and implementation of long‑range goals and annual objectives.
- Identify critical issues and maintain a deep understanding of the marketplace, customers and the broad forces that affect the organization’s future.
- Manage the performance of the organization to the budget and short‑ and long‑term financial goals. Focus on execution. Practice financial acumen in managing budgets and census.
- Support the executive team – to achieve goals and objectives that fulfill the mission and vision of the organization.

- Continually enhance the reputation of the organization within the community regarding mental health, addiction, treatment and recovery and broaden that community involvement.
- Earn the trust and establish credibility among the organization and facility leadership, the staff nurses, medical staff, and nursing leadership. It is essential that the new Chief Executive Officer be visible within the hospital.
- Ensure the facility is financially sound and has a positive operating margin.
- Increase both the occupancy and payor mix as well as increase customer satisfaction.
- Shift the culture toward innovation, advancing opportunities for revenue diversification and virtual programs and services.

Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Clinical Discipline, or related discipline is required. A Master's degree in health care administration, business administration, Clinical Discipline or related field is preferred.
Knowledge and Work Experience:
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in senior leadership or CEO role in a behavioral health, acute care, and/or managed care environment.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of facility administration and clinical operations. Experience in turning around an organization as well as the ability to direct crisis and inpatient behavioral health services.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible timeframes. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.

Your Role as Clinic Director:
The Clinic Director leads and manages daily clinic operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and alignment with strategic business goals. This role is essential to maintaining program effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and a patient-centered environment.
As the Clinic Director, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the patient experience and leading a team committed to compassionate care. Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a social, behavioral, or mental health services field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience overseeing services in an outpatient setting is highly preferred, particularly within medication-assisted treatment (MAT), mental health, intensive outpatient (IOP), partial hospitalization (PHP), or substance use disorder (SUD) programs.
- Experience working in a narcotic treatment program (medication-assisted treatment; MAT), is highly preferred.
Your Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience, including full oversight and maintenance of a facility budget.
- Demonstrated business development experience is highly preferred, including generating patient referral sources and building strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and local entities such as law enforcement, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations.
- Experience working with multiple payer sources, including Medicare and Medicaid contracts.
- Prior management experience is required, as well as the ability to lead, coach, and support a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What We're Looking For:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Experience or interest in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- DEA Waiver required
- Passion for providing exceptional inpatient behavioral health care
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside clinicians, nurses, and the multidisciplinary treatment team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric care on a 24-bed adolescent inpatient unit.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and complete clinical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

ResponsibilitiesSummary:
- Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
- Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
- Ensure the physical health and care of patients, working constructively and collaboratively with other healthcare professionals is held to the highest standards.
- Review and complete medical information for individual care plans.
- Direct services and information in a timely manner, maintaining appropriate confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- One or more years’ experience as a staff physician with the population served by the facility preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current license to practice medicine, by the state in which the facility(s) operates.
- Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty.
- Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
- Additional specific DEA credentials may be required, per state and facility regulations or policy.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and supervise business office activities including the financial counseling, billing and collections functions for all service lines.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor and report on key metrics such as cash collections, days outstanding, unbilled, denials, daily census, etc. in conjunction with the CFO.
- Establish and maintain controls for all cash collected and posted in patient accounting system.
- Maintain effective communication with third party insurance carriers to resolve issues that impede cash flow and detract from patient/member satisfaction.
- Provide staff management to include hiring, development, training, performance management and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.
- Maintain effective communication with the leadership team to ensure that all third-party compliance guidelines are met.
- Select and monitor outside collection vendors engaged in the collection of facility receivables. Review and balance agency reports to system reports and approve agency invoices.
- Lead and provide operational directives for all Business office activities related to the claim’s management and collections of the facility receivables and ensure timely, efficient cash collections to support the overall financial goals of the facility.
- Define and provide the necessary support and leadership to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Review all statistical reports to monitor trends and determine operational deficiencies and implement corrective action plans as necessary.
- Work closely with Utilization Review and Admissions staff to ensure proper authorization of patient insurance coverage.
- Manage and direct subordinate staff to identify goals and objectives.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Five or more years’ job-related experience required. Preferably in behavioral health.
- Three or more years’ supervisory experience required.
- Strong revenue cycle technical skills required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile, where facility requires.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work closely with the DON to improve the quality of patient care and services provided by the nursing team.
- Collaborate with others to ensure that all patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental and cultural needs are met and when they are not met, acknowledges and works to resolve customer complaints.
- In the absence of the DON, oversee the nursing team to ensure quality patient care, customer service and compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the facility.
- Assist DON/CNO to provide effective and efficient budget management that ensures the best utilization of resources.
- Assist in the management of the daily operations of nursing services.
- Evaluate service needs and staffing requirements to ensure needs of patients are met as assigned.
- Role models expectations related to customer service and demonstrates a sense of urgency related to the importance of patient safety.

- Serve on committees as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree nursing or higher strongly preferred.
- Current registered nursing license in State of facility required
- 5+ Years of experience as a registered nurse preferred.
- Two years of registered nursing experience required.
- Two years experience in behavioral health as an Registered Nurse preferred.
- One year experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment (inpatient or outpatient) or relatable experience required
- Prior experience as a nursing manager strongly preferred
- One year of progressive leadership or management experience required
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Current RN license as required by state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
