ResponsibilitiesJob Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for developing, planning, implementing and managing all aspects of medical department for substance abuse treatment facility. Responsible for ensuring that all medical services are delivered in accordance with established standards and regulations in compliance with license and credentialing requirements. Will obtain and manage all medical services contracts and vendors for facility. Works with multi-disciplinary departments to ensure and facilitate compliance with all Quality Assurance and Improvement standards and parameters. Will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to several staff of licensed and professional medical staff and providers to optimize and accomplish organizational goals and benchmarks. Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all aspects of facility medical department in coordination with the Medical Director and facility CEO.
- Supervise all medical providers and nursing staff to ensure that all medical documentation and medical care requirements are met pursuant to regulatory standards and practice and is in compliance with all licensing and credentialing regulations and standards.
- Regular inspection of medical charts both open and closed to ensure compliance with QI & QA Policy & procedures, as well as all other regulatory, funding, and clinical and medical standards.
- Supervise, monitor, and document staff delivery of all medical services.
- Ensure all required detox services and protocols are met and delivered in a timely manner and pursuant to regulatory standards and requirements.
- Obtain and manage all medical services and vendor contracts.
- Meet with multi-disciplinary leaders on a daily basis to report any facility/staff/or client concerns or problems.
- Uphold all licensure and credentialing policies and procedures, especially as it relates to the medical aspect of treatment.
- Work in conjunction with onsite pharmacist or contract pharmacist regarding medication oversight and destruction of medication.
- Responsible for recommending and ensuring regulatory staffing patterns & managing annual budget.
- Ensure that shifts are covered by all levels of staff and that staff are actively involved in the medical treatment, admission and census process and aware of all elements of its implementation.
- Ensure that all client medical needs and appointments are maintained and kept on a timely basis.
- Implement and monitor medical Utilization Review functions and requirements for entire medical department in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that the appropriate number of client cases is presented at each Multi-Disciplinary Team Meeting and that current and accurate medical information and medical appointments and specific medical developments is reported thoroughly and completely.
- Develop and Implement departmental policies and procedures as needed to address client and/or staff issues and needs.
- Ensure that all medical staff and contractors comply with HR and personnel policies and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to supervisory level personnel as needed to help maximize managerial performance and ability.

Education / Experience:

Compensation Transparency: In accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Act, the reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position $96,050.66-$120,062.26 annually. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and relevant qualifications. Generally, placement within the upper portion of the range is reserved for candidates with several years of directly related experience or exceptional expertise.

Job SummaryThe Facility Executive Director is charged with providing day‑to‑day leadership and operational management of the treatment center. The Facility Executive Director will assist with daily financial responsibilities and partner with the facility leadership team to drive key performance indicators and financial measures, as well as improve systems/processes to optimize facility performance. - Develop cost‑containment ideas for the facility.
- Recommend and ensure regulatory staffing patterns and manage annual budget in collaboration with the Sr. Vice President of Operations.
- Installs new practices and oversees efforts toward maximizing payor mix, average daily revenue (ADR), average daily census (ADC), and length of stay (LOS) goal attainment.
- Interact consistently and purposefully with AAC Call Center and Business Development Team to ensure admission and transition processes are managed effectively and accurately.
- Conduct weekly meetings with local Business Development representatives.
- Identify and partner with new local market entrants and other disruptors; understand the facility’s unique product offerings and the corresponding threats and opportunities within the facility and local market.
- Strengthen and prepare the operational infrastructure of the assigned facility for future growth via organic, local, and national admissions growth.
- Participate in public relations efforts and state/national professional organizations.
- Ensure the referral source management process is delivered accurately and timely and participate in service recovery efforts as necessary.
- Master’s degree in healthcare or business administration preferred.
- One to three years of proven success at department‑level management in Behavioral Healthcare preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the necessary components to deliver high‑quality client care.
- Ability to enact action plans and strategies to achieve financial and operational goals.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of government regulations, accrediting bodies (The Joint Commission), payor requirements, and compliance requirements.

- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, attending hospital sponsored CEU programs, etc. Provides documentation of CEUs at annual performance review.
Education/Experience:
- Master’s Degree in a behavioral sciences or mental health related field required, 5 years experience in a behavioral health setting
- Professional licensure required.
- Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings.
- Working knowledge of Google Products.
Certificates and Licenses:
LICSW, LMHC or LADC-1 (with Masters) required
Supervisory Responsibility:
Clinical Services: Counseling, Care Coordination (Case Management & Placement)
Other Work Requirements:
Participates as active member of specific task committees as delegated.
Consistently arrive for work on time and adhere to attendance policies.

Compensation Transparency: In accordance with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Act, the reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position $96,050.66-$120,062.26 annually. Actual compensation within this range will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, education, and relevant qualifications. Generally, placement within the upper portion of the range is reserved for candidates with several years of directly related experience or exceptional expertise.
