**Responsibilities**

This position is responsible for providing legal counsel, risk analysis, and supporting antitrust compliance program requirements to Panasonic North America (PNA) division companies and subsidiaries based on the following role requirements:
**Subject Expertise**
+ Demonstrating a deep understanding of competition and antitrust law as well as litigation principles, and review, interpret, and analyze legal information.
**Legal Advice and Counsel**
+ Acting as the primary competition and antitrust advisor for client groups, business products, or corporate functions, identifying and anticipating highly complex legal and/or other issues
+ Serving as a key business partner and advisor to executives and advising them on the potential impact of competition and antitrust laws on the business
+ Identifying and engaging stakeholders in Panasonic Operating Companies, PHD/PEX-O and PEX-J, and across the PNA companies to help escalate and drive decisions.
+ Working directly with the Head of Litigation for responses to regulators, e.g.,
+ Requests for Information from Competition Authorities, state or federal agency investigations or demands, etc.
+ Support critical transactional guidance and work product for M&A activities, as well as day to day legal advice to PNA business contracts and agreements.
**Regulatory Compliance**
+ Working in partnership with PNA business groups to ensure that the requirements of applicable market regulations and/or commitments are implemented in Panasonic products and services.
+ Gaining an understanding of the requirements as well engagement techniques to clarify those requirements when they are opaque.
+ Communicating those requirements to the teams implementing them in products and services to help interpret the requirements within the context of PNA products or services.
+ Working with PNA leaders to explain and support Panasonic's compliance decisions externally to regulators and others.
+ Supporting internal processes to ensure compliance across time and product releases.
**Solution Implementation**
+ Developing solutions that anticipate and mitigate legal and other risks
+ Managing and developing relationships with outside counsel and clients to create strategic and innovative solutions that address issues and achieve business objectives
+ Providing feedback and evaluating process improvements that increase efficiencies.
**Communication**
+ Supporting the development of relationships with external and internal legal professionals, academics, government officials, customers, and/or partners to protect and advocate Panasonic's interests and drive results
+ Responding to needs for external outreach initiatives to expand Panasonic's outreach
+ Collaborating with internal teams and leaders to ensure a Legal & Compliance voice.
**Antitrust Compliance Program Leader**
+ Leading the PNA compliance program design and implementation, including ownership and responsibility for antitrust policies, training, and control oversight/monitoring with support from the PNA corporate compliance function.
+ This responsibility will require an intense degree of ownership and collaboration as both the subject matter expert and member of a broader corporate compliance team.

+ Minimum 7 years of relevant legal experience, 10 plus years preferred
+ Significant experience with commercial transactions, including mergers acquisitions and divestitures.
+ Extensive experience preparing, reviewing and negotiating distributor, licensing and related agreements.
+ Prior experience with US government investigations, litigation and pre-litigation (e.g., Attorney General, Department of Justice, other competition authority).

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Manager of Legal Assistants, the Trade/IP/White Collar Legal Assistant will assist and provide support to the Firm's clients and case teams. Job DescriptionEpiq's Advanced Technologies Consultants assist clients with their Antitrust compliance needs through the use of advanced analytics, primarily machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI) leveraging Large Language Models (LLM). Working closely with the Senior Director and the larger Antitrust practice group, the Consultant will advise clients on defensible workflows and serve as a subject matter expert for the application of machine learning and/or generative AI tools to data sets.
The Consultant will work closely with Client Services and Document Review Services to ensure overall project/matter success and will coordinate with many internal resources, including Sales, Client Services, Managed Review, and Information Technology. The Advanced Technologies Consultant must be able to deliver on multiple projects concurrently. Evening and weekend work is to be expected around project deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities- Serves as subject matter expert on the use of predictive coding (TAR 1.0 and 2.0) for compliance with regulatory requests, investigations, and litigation.
- Works independently through challenges and roadblocks with creative problem solving but collaborates within the larger Antitrust Practice Group team
- Consults with external stakeholders to determine appropriate analytics tools, workflows, and required deliverables.
- Creates models in Epiq AI Discovery Assistant (EAIDA), Reveal AI, Brainspace, and Relativity Active Learning with proficiency in developing the models and advise on use-case scenarios
- Develops prompts/instructions for AI tools (chat and classification)
- Articulates statistical measurements and considerations to varying levels of technically proficient clients (written and oral communication)
- Remains abreast of changes in the regulatory environment that impact compliance
- Demonstrates understanding of the eDiscovery lifecycle with the ability to identify headwinds for the AI processes and critical path for review and production
- Drafts recommended protocols and respond to regulatory specification requests
- Documents and transfers all applicable knowledge to the Managed Review and Client Services teams to aid in efficient technology assisted review workflows
- Maintains subject matter expertise through continued education and certifications in the analytics platforms deployed by Epiq
- Mentors colleagues and serve as internal subject matter expert to broaden Epiq's analytics knowledge
- Pursues opportunities for thought leadership, through speaking roles and authorship
- Occasionally supports business development activities through demonstrations, training, and client presentation or meeting attendance
- Bachelor's degree (advanced degree, such as JD or MBA, preferred)
- Second Request (DOJ or FTC) experience strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of client-facing experience in an eDiscovery capacity
- Proficiency in Relativity (Server or RelativityOne) and the administration of document review databases generally (certification preferred)
- Experience with Technology Assisted Review utilizing machine learning and/or GenAI tools for eDiscovery
- Experience crafting prompts for LLMs (CoPilot, Claude, Gemini, Harvey, et al.)
- Familiarity with Relativity Active Learning, Reveal AI, and/or Brainspace used to reduce data volumes and organize data for review (certification preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365
- Power BI, Python, SQL experience preferred
- Skill for synthesizing complex solutions into cogent explanations
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Excellent issue-spotting and problem-solving
- Willingness to go above and beyond client expectations
The Compensation range for this role is 125,000.00 to 160,000.00 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Your specific salary will be determined based on several factors:
