Job Description

Are you passionate about shaping projects before the first shovel hits the ground? Do you thrive in a client-facing role where strategy, relationship building, conceptual estimating, and business development intersect? If you're looking for an opportunity to influence high-impact modular construction projects from concept through execution, this leadership role offers the chance to work directly with executive leadership while helping build a scalable project development process for a rapidly growing organization.

We're seeking an experienced professional who can confidently guide clients through the earliest stages of project development, translate ideas into actionable project plans, and serve as the strategic bridge between business development, preconstruction, and operations.

About the Role

The Director of Client Solutions is responsible for leading the front-end development of construction projects, ensuring every opportunity is strategically evaluated, properly scoped, and positioned for successful execution.

Working closely with executive leadership, this individual will oversee client engagement, conceptual budgeting, feasibility assessments, and project planning before transitioning projects into preconstruction. The ideal candidate combines strong relationship management skills with a solid understanding of conceptual estimating, project development, and modular construction principles.

This is a highly visible leadership position that plays a significant role in supporting company growth through exceptional client service, strategic planning, and operational alignment.

What You'll Do Lead Early-Stage Project Development
  • Serve as the primary leader during project discovery and planning.
  • Guide opportunities from initial client conversations through preconstruction handoff.
  • Develop project strategies that align customer objectives with internal capabilities.
  • Establish project assumptions, scope, risks, and execution plans early in the process.
  • Ensure projects begin with a clear and well-defined path toward execution.
Build Strong Client Relationships
  • Act as the primary point of contact throughout the early phases of each project.
  • Facilitate discovery meetings to understand project goals, budgets, schedules, and priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with developers, owners, consultants, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide proactive communication while managing expectations regarding project scope, cost, scheduling, and modular construction capabilities.
Support Business Development
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on pursuit strategy and opportunity evaluation.
  • Participate in client presentations, proposal development, and strategic meetings.
  • Assist with project qualification and go/no-go decisions.
  • Help communicate the value of modular construction solutions to prospective clients.
  • Support long-term client development and repeat business opportunities.
Develop Conceptual Budgets & Feasibility Studies
  • Prepare conceptual ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) budgets.
  • Evaluate project feasibility, risks, and cost drivers.
  • Collaborate with estimating teams and manufacturing partners to validate pricing assumptions.
  • Identify missing information and ensure project requirements are fully defined before moving forward.
Partner with Preconstruction & Operations
  • Ensure projects transition seamlessly into Preconstruction.
  • Deliver complete documentation, project assumptions, and client expectations.
  • Maintain involvement during the early stages of project execution to provide continuity.
  • Help minimize scope changes and improve downstream project execution.
Improve Processes & Scalability
  • Help design and improve front-end project development workflows.
  • Feasibility studies
  • Modular planning coordination
  • Project intake
  • Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability as the organization continues to grow.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to:

  • Deliver accurate conceptual budgets that align closely with final project costs.
  • Increase opportunity conversion and win rates.
  • Build lasting client relationships and deliver an outstanding customer experience.
  • Create efficient processes that support long-term organizational growth.
Why Join Us?

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing organization where you'll have direct visibility with executive leadership and the ability to shape how projects are developed from the very beginning. Rather than stepping into an established process, you'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, improve workflows, strengthen client relationships, and help build a scalable project development function.

If you enjoy combining client interaction, strategic planning, conceptual estimating, and business development—and want to make a meaningful impact on innovative construction projects—we'd love to hear from you.
